"Almost heaven, West Virginia,
Blue Ridge Mountains
Shenandoah River.
Life is old there,
Older than the trees,
Younger than the mountains
Growin' like a breeze.
Country roads, take me home
To the place where I belong:
West Virginia, mountain momma,
Take me home, country roads.
All my memories gathered 'round her,
Miner's lady, stranger to blue water.
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky,
Misty taste of moonshine,
Teardrop in my eye.
I hear her voice, in the mornin' hour she calls me,
Radio reminds me of my home far away
And driving down the road I get a feeling
I should have been home yesterday, yesterday
Country roads, take me home
To the place where I belong:
West Virginia, mountain momma,
Take me home, country roads."

That was a nice prelude.. dolly parton has such a crisp, sweet voice...
in midst of all the schoolwork i've been piled with, i've realized that I haven't spent any time updating my life in Xanga. so! to get reacquainted.
it's now the 3rd week of senior year, and, as expected, my social life has been sucked out of my hands. again. i've started writing my college essays (thank god for common apps), but i still have to hand in my school report forms to my guidance counselors/teachers to fill out.
ap bio is quite intense.. spent the entire afternoon working on the lab packet today. thankfully my lab partner was great at pushing me out of from my lethargy. lessee.. ap psych is probably the most engaging class.. mrs hodgins
can really pull you into the subject matter..
tomorrow girls' tennis is going for their first [jersey] shore conference in 11 years (!). the drive to the competition takes an hour, so we'll get to leave early - at 12:30. in other words, i get to miss honors english and ap bio. yess. on the bad side, i also have this really bad cold. besides waking up with a dry throat and a lethargy that prevents me from doing any work, i sound like a frog that's been baking out in the sun for too long. but it'll go away. just like the college app process. you just gotta grin and bear it for a little while.
